As Disciples of Christ, each of us have been given specific gifts of the Holy Spirit to do ministry as our obligation to edify the body of Christ. To the extent that each individual exercises those gifts, we are strengthened to become the church for whom Jesus will return.
I Corinthians 12:4-11
Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit.
And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord.
And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
Ministries
Following is a listing of the various ministries provided by New Bridge Baptist Church that will assist you in full, participatory discipleship by allowing you to determine, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, where your gift may be best utilized.
Youth Ministry
Our young people are priceless at New Bridge. Taking to heart Jesus' own love for children, New Bridge seeks to provide a comprehensive, caring ministry to preschoolers, children and their parents. Through a broad range of programming, children experience acceptance, engage in learning, enjoy themselves, and express faith. Today, more than ever, good parents are desparate for their children to have the best. As much as they would like to do so, parents can do little to protect their children from life, but they can prepare them for it. New Bridge's Youth Ministry helps do just that by using a wide range of programs and activities.
Men's Ministry
Men are awakening to their responsibilities as Christian men and arising to do what God has created them to do. Through New Bridge's Men's Ministry, men can experience personal accountability, participate in a variety of activities, find answers to the tough questions, receive affirmation, and grow in awareness of issues and challenges facing men. Opportunities ranging from workshops to retreats to focus groups are available for all adult men, single and married.
Women's Ministry
New Bridge's Women Ministry offers a variety of ways for women to connect and develop friendships. Whatever state or circumstances in life a woman finds herself, our Women's Ministry offers care and understanding. We recognize the unique and important role a woman has in her society, in her church, and in her home. The Women's Ministry not only provides ways for women to receive support and encouragement, it also offers a place for women to share their talents and gifts. The Women's Fellowship is a ministry of women who walk in the light of Jesus being guided daily to serve.
Music Ministry
New Bridge's Music Ministry invites you to exercise your talents and gifts in reaching others for Jesus. You can improve someone's heart by being a part of the wonderful opportunities available to yoou through the Music Ministry. There's a place for you and your family in this ministry. Children, kindergarten through 6th grade, have fun while learning more about music and how it can be used for God's glory through Graded Choirs. Children can discover and develop their God-given talent for playing an instrument through classes or private lessons.
Trustee Ministry
The Trustee Ministry's goals include making spiritual growth a priority by being an active participant in the ministry of teaching, training and worship; possessing the ability to lead persons to Christ; being faithful stewards over God's household affairs; managing with an openness to new ideas and creativity; utilizing and managing available resources for compleltion of tasks; prayerfully leading the congregation into action as well as appropriate decision making, possessing the ability to lead persons to Christ and remaining proficient and organized in the execution of all responsibilities.
