The New Bridge Baptist Church is located in the community of Bungalow City within the Richmond, VA area. The church was founded in 1864. It has been a vital force within this community since its inception. However, due to the challenges we are presently faced with, for example, growth of the community, the apparent spiritual, educational, social and emotional needs of the people, etc. we realize that expansion is necessary to effectively meet these demanding needs.
NBBC realizes that the church is and has to be a vital component of the community for its overall operating success. As an integral part of serving the community, the church must provide a safe, clean, comfortable, functional and inspiring environment for the users.
NBBC capital planning and fundraising will be dedicated to church improvements, rehabilitation, facility expansion and historical restoration. With the support and participation of the communities we will serve -- our program will address parking; we will provide access for the elderly and disabled; provide child and adult care; make available an educational complex and other amenities. These will be some of the most innovative approaches for social and spiritual development. In fact, our church will set the standard to be adopted by numerous communities around the area.
Many churches have been, and are presently being improved upon to meet some of their community's needs. However, NBBC will focus on total serviceability to better meet the growing needs of our expanding communities and take the responsibility to provide routine care and maintenance of these needed programs.

New Bridge has recently purchased two parcels of land adjacent on each side of its existing site to expand and lay the groundwork for the addition and renovation of a new New Bridge Baptist Church.
Part of this land acquisition includes the property and home west of it that has been converted and established as New Bridge Baptist Church Day Care Center.
New Bridge has faithfully trusted in and leaned on the Lord to provide contributions to its efforts both monetarily as well as pledges for in-kind services. To date, New Bridge has accepted over $100,000 in monetary donations.
We need 1 million dollars to meet the challenge. The Official Board of New Bridge recognizes this as an enormous effort and recommends that the Building Program be approached in two phases. Phase I will involve the building of an Educational Building to include a multipurpose room, classrooms and administrative office. Phase II will involve the building of a sanctuary with a capacity of 850 - 1000.

We can if we in the Name of Jesus Christ come together as a body of believers and contribute to the building of God's church according to how God has blessed us.
